before i learned how to drive i usually rode the cab. as in lagi akong cab wherever i go. i even have phone numbers of some cab company stored in my phone. when i get inside the cab i usually lock all the doors including the driver’s door then i text the plate num to rudney and my parents.
last tuesday night around 7:30pm on our way home from makati (my uncle was driving, we were with my mom’s friends), we just witnessed (as in right in front of us) 2 teenage boys opened the doors of the taxi. one opened the passenger door wide then tried to open the back door (good thing that the girl passenger locked the door, she’s alone). while the driver’s reaching to close the passenger door, the other boy slowly opened the driver’s door looking for something to grab like money or cellphone or bag. we didn’t see him get anything. they left the doors open then ran away. my uncle told us that he also witnessed that before but on the other side naman, going to makati. btw, this happened in the area of crossing ilalim.
so for those who usually take the cab always lock ALL the doors when you get in. even those in private cars na rin, especially if you’re in that area.
**~this happened din pala sa amin ni rudney (as in long time ago) but we were in nlex/balintawak going up to edsa. (galing kami ng bulacan, i can’t remember where we hailed the cab) both of us were texting, when i looked at rudney to tell him something i noticed that there’s a guy on his side running, trying to catch up on us then before we reached edsa he tried to open rudney’s door. then i looked on my side meron din pala nag-try mag-open ng door ko. good thing that all the doors are locked.~**
