gudo’s car

… is a chevrolet captiva.  rudney almost passed out when he learned that our sponsor aka my father already made a downpayment.  we only plan to get an avanza.  by 11/7 it was delivered na sa makati.  i saw it the next day.  mixed emotions ako.  excited at the same time worried to drive this baby.  di ako marunong mag-drive ng brand new and besides i think its too big for me.  though i tried driving big cars like land cruiser and montero, takot pa rin ako.

i was on leave last 11/14 kse walang mag-alaga kay johann.  so we *~papang, me, johann, my sister and my uncle~* drove along NLEX.  we had lunch at lutong bahay then we went straight to sm pampanga for coffee.  while they were having coffee johann and i went shopping. .  after coffee/shopping we went back to makati.  since papa will fetch mama at the airport that night we left him and gudo’s car in makati while we went straight home.

nga pala, payment scheme eh 30 years.  fully depreciated na di pa namin bayad.  hehehe! joke!

the little gym

finally found the playschool for johann.  though its very far from where we live pero ayos lang.  we live in qc while the school is in ortigas at el pueblo.  even if there’s only 6 classes left for this quarter i still enrolled him to the super beasties class.  just like his trial class at gymboree its also free, pero unlike in gymboree na ang daming kids, dito konti lang.  his trial class was scheduled last oct 20.  teacher lj explained the theme for that class and also told us first timers na its okay for the kids to roam just make sure that we keep an eye on them and also they encourage the parents/companion of the kid to still join the group activity even if the kid won’t participate kse eventually if the kids like the activity mag-join din sila. kumbaga walang pilitan.  so nung warm-up ako lang ang nasa group si johann busy.  when we were asked to run in circles call ko yung attention ni johann when he saw what we’re doing nag-join naman.  then sa forward roll, kung yung ibang kids kailangan ng assistance from parent si johann hindi na.  he can do it on his own.  twice pa nya gagawin pero after nun alis na ulit sya.  mama was with us that time pala.  she told me na pwede ko na daw enroll since may times nag-participate naman sya.  pero yung goal ko for him to mingle with other kids eh di na-achieve.  wala syang paki sa ibang kids basta sya play lang sya.  so undecided pa ako that time.  after the class i talked to the one in charge at the reception area and inquired about the tuition and the remaining classes.  i can still enroll pa rin daw pro rated na lang plus the annual membership fee.  so around 7k+ if ever na enroll ko sya.  the next day i talked to rudney about it.  kwento ko sa kanya kung ano nangyari sa trial class and told him na gusto na sya enroll dun.  kse naisip ko lagi na lang nasa bahay si johann, puro kami ang kasama.  i want him naman around with the kids his own age.  so that sunday enroll ko na sya.

every week he’s improving.  nung unang saturday nya na enrolled na sya mas nag-participate na sya compared nung trial class.  may mga ibang activity na ayaw nya talaga i-try eh pero oks lang.  big improvement eh nung last saturday.  mas nag-participate na sya sa warm-up exercises and sa group activities.  kahit hindi ko tinawag yung attention nya kusa na syang bumalik sa group.  even teacher lj noticed the improvement.  and kahit sa house may times kusa nyang gagawin yung mga activities and sometimes he will sing the songs from the playshool.  one happy mommy talaga ako ngayon, nasulit na yung binayad ko.

so now every saturday when we’re about to leave the house i would ask him “where are we going” *~with dora’s tune yan ha~* he will shout “to the little gym”.

er trips and impaction

er trip 1.  10/18 around 12:30 am we rushed johann sa medical city kse thrice nag throw-up.  one nung pagdating ko.  i thought nagpapa-cute yun pala mag-vommit.  next eh nung-after nya mag milk eh di naman naiipit yung tummy nya or nag-likot man lang para mag-cause ng pag-vommit nya.  tinawagan ko si mama na pag nag-vommit pa ulit dalhin ko na sa er.  eh nag-vommit na naman nung tulog na sya.  sobrang babaw ng tulog ko, narinig ko sya umubo pag bangon ko nag-vommit na.  so tawag ako agad kay mama to inform her then sa uncle ko para magpa-drive.  sabi ng mama ko daanan daw namin sya sa ministop.  pagdating namin sa er ang daming bata.  so the nurse asked us whats wrong tapos check yung temperature.  while waiting na tawagin for our turn si johann naman akala mo walang sakit.  he was runnning around, ako naman naka-buntot sa kanya.  nung tinawag na kami ng doctor check nya yung throat tapos ask kami kung ano bang kinain then binigyan kami ng nurse ng glucolyte para sa dehydration.  hay naku dun kami nag-tagal.  ayaw uminom kahit naka-straw.  sabi ko na nga ‘yummy juice’ ayaw ako pansinin.  so we asked for a dropper binigyan kami ng syringe w/o the needle.  kahit anong pilit namin ayaw pa rin.  i even pretended na galit na ako, ayaw talaga.  after 30 mins na di umiinom ask ko yung doctor kung anong other way kung ayaw uminom.  pakainin daw namin para ma-uhaw.  so i went dun sa mini-grocery to buy sky flakes.  kumain naman sya. tapos uminom ng konti tapos ayaw na nya nung natikman nya. hay naku.  gusto magpa carry sa akin. sabi ko ‘inom muna juice then carry ka ni mommy’. aba sumunod naman.  then carry ko sya lumapit kami dun sa pang height measurement na giraffe.  after a few minutes lapit ulit ako sa mama ko para painumin ulit.  uminom naman.  nung naka 1/4 na nung cup inform kami ng doctor na baka may nakain lang sya na di nagustuhan ng tyan nya kya sya nag-vommit.  so continue lang daw namin yung glucolyte pag nag-vommit ulit.  around 3am na kami naka-uwi.  ang culprit pala is the cold chuckie.  nang hingi kase sya ng coke nung nakita nya umiinom yung friends ni mama.  syempre di sya binigyan eh nakita naman yung chuckie yun yung ininom nya eh ala naman pala laman tyan nya. hayy…

er trip 2.  last 10/28, ask ako nila tajhing to come with them sa divisoria since di nila alam papunta.  they’ll be buying kse gifts pang giveaway.  so 5 kami pumunta and car ko yung dala namin.  yun lang daw ang fit pang divisoria. hmp!  anyway, on the way pa lang sa house ng sister i kind of feel something sa panga ko sa left side sa ilalim ng ears ko.  i ignored it thinking baka connected lang teeth ko. maga kse yung gums ko pero sa right side yun.  *~ang labo noh~*.  park kami sa tutuban then walk kami pappuntang 168.   sa 168 parang na-feel ko na lumalaki yung parang bukol and may pain na sya pag press ko sya.  ignore ko pa rin.  after 168 balik kami sa car para hatid yung pinamili kse mabigat then walk na naman kami papunta ng divi mall.  dun na kami nag-lunch sa food court.  nung lunch dun lalong sumakit and lalong lumaki yung bukol extend na sya sa side ng ears malapit sa left cheek. parang na-stress sya habang kumakain ako.  that’s the time na napansin nila na namamaga yung mukha ko.  they asked me kung gusto ko pa-er.  sabi ko hindi na, wait ko na lang appointment ko with my dentist the next day kse baka related.  the next day sabi ng dentist ko baka mumps pero nagka-mumps na ako.  though pwede daw mag-recur yun kung mahina immune system.  so that afternoon i went on my own sa er to have it checked na.  *~side kwento, since lagi kong dinadala sa er si johann i accidentally wrote his name dun sa patient info.  na-realize ko lang yun nung isusulat na yung other details.  natawa nga ako eh~*.   when it was my turn i told the dr kung ano problem.  she told me na hindi mumps yun, baka barado daw yung salivary glands ko *~di ko ma-remember medical term and di ko mabasa yung sulat ng dr~*.  she referred me sa ent para sure.  so explain sa akin ng ent kung ano yung sakit ko.  may mga stones na nag-form due to eating too much salty foods or high in uric acid.  basta sa kinakain ko daw.  kaya naman daw gamutin ng antibiotic and pag inom ng juices na nakapag-produce ng saliva.  ang culprit, feeling ko eh si boy bawang.  lately kse panay yun yung kinakain ko. hayy..

impaction.  10/29 nung nalaman na kaya pala sobrang sakit ng ngipin ko eh may impaction pala ako.  yung 3rd molar ko eh di lumabas.  based sa xray yung 3rd molar ko eh nakadikit sa root ng 2nd molar ko.  actually half na lang ang naiwan ng root kse pag-nag-bite ako nagtatama na sila.  so my dentist referred me dun sa kilala nya na dentist na nagpe-perform ng surgery.  she explained to me kung ano ang gagawing procedure.  since nakabaon daw yung tooth kailangan magtangal pa ng buto.  katakot pero nagpa-sched pa rin agad ako the next day. ang sakit na kse talaga eh.  the next day mama came with me papunta sa city hall.  dun kse yung dentist eh.  ako unang patient.  when he saw the xray sabi nya agad na matagal daw yung procedure.  swerte na kung matapos kami in 1.5 hours.  he told me that hindi na ma-rescue yung 2nd molar ko kse based sa xray half na lang natira dun sa root.  before nag-start yung procedure he explained kung ano gagawin nya.  extract yung 2nd molar, mag-tanggal ng buto then extract yung 3rd molar.  sounds easy pero hindi.  yung pag-extract ng 2nd molar mabilis lang.  yung pag-tanggal ng buto ang matagal.  i can hear cracks though i didn’t feel anything naman.  traumatic lang kse alam ko na buto ko yung naririnig kong kina-crack.  next is extraction ng 3rd molar.  nagtagal din ito kse masyado syang malalalim.  ilang beses nag-slide yung forcep.  nung natapos na he told me to take antibiotic and mefenamic acid for the pain.  so on our way home dumaan muna kami sa mercury para sa medicines ko.  si mama na lang bumaba while wait ko sya sa car.  pero nararamdaman ko na yung sakit.  pagdating sa house grabe na ang sakit.  as in nagpapadyak na ako sa sakit eh tinitimpla pa yung antibiotic and dinudurog ko pa yung mefenamic *~i don’t drink tablet or capsule kse~*.  after drinking the medicine i went straight to our room with a hot compress on my cheek and tried to sleep.  i was crying na because of the pain.  nakatulog naman ako.  paggising ko nag-effect na yung mefenamic.  i ate lunch/meryenda na.  sabaw lang ng sinigang ang kaya kong kainin eh.  i took again mefenamic then went back to our room again to rest.  feeling ko pagod na pagod ako.  around 7pm kain ulit ako ng sabaw ng sinigang na may konting kanin.  then inom ng antibiotic balik na naman ako sa room.  after a few minutes hinatid na nila si johann.  sabi ni johann ‘wawa mommy, sakit ulo mommy’.  sabi ko ‘no, sakit teeth mommy’.  mamang stayed in our room until johann fell asleep.  maga yung right cheek ko til thursday pero nawala na rin nung friday.  i was able to go to divisoria again nung friday.

view na lang our pictures here.   we went there last 10/19.  nag-enjoy si liaa and johann sa kaka-swim. after swimming and a nap for the kids, we went naman sa puregold duty free then to sm clark.  sa sm, the kids rode the carousel with their titas while kaming dalawang mommy eh pinanood lang cla.  after nun johann and i rode a giraffe while waiting for my sisters.  may car show kse featuring yung mga bagong labas na sasakyan for 2007.  sinakyan ata nila lahat kse sa tagal nila halos naka 20 hulog ata ako ng 5 peso coin dun sa giraffe *~10 pesos per ride~*.  after dinner sa sm we went home na. 

*~on our way home pala along NLEX may naka-taob na car sa island galing sa northbound side.  daming sasakyan ang naka-hinto para tumulong.  may mga inilalabas pa dun sa kotse tapos mga 3 na ata yung nailabas nila tapos may bata pa. nakakatakot talaga to see them like that.  di ko nga sure kung naipalabas sa news eh.  nung nakalagpas kami nag-offer na lang ako ng prayer na sana sana walang namatay or grabe ang injury.~*

the spa

if i were to choose between the spa and city lifestyle spa i’ll still choose the later.  i was not satisfied with their massage at the spa *~except for the head massage~*.  i kind of feel bitin, hindi nasulit yung binayad ko.  i thought ako lang pati pala si lhen di satisfied.  with the amount we paid for the massage sa the spa, we’ll just have to add 300 pesos each sa city lifestyle may salt scrub na kami sa vip room.  also we didn’t get to use the wet area kse wala kaming reservation.  may mga naka-schedule na kse the next hour, mag-conflict daw sa sched nung mga may appointment kung gamitin pa namin yung wet area.  as in pati nga pag-shower di na dapat pwede kse made-delay daw.  eh di ako pumayag sabi ko i need to shower kahit 2 mins lang.  she even suggested na after na lang daw ng massage ako mag-shower. ngek! tama ba yun!  though in fairness sa the spa, mas maganda ang ambiance as compared city lifestyle. 

we tried that place kse its in ortigas area *~podium~* lang as requested ni icel na di naman dumating.  if we’ve known earlier na di susunod si icel eh di sana dun na lang kami sa city lifestyle at sana nakapag don henricos pa kami after.  haay… sayang ang buffalo wings!!!
